Snowfall during winter dusts everything in white. It's cold and we long for the sunshine and colors of spring. Come summer, we long to be surrounded in the coolness of all things white. Rooms decorated with taupe and white offer a perfect combination that is neutral, one that is both cool and warm. And this soothing palette is ready for just about any accent color, one that can be changed as the seasons turn.

Before winter sets in and the home naturally becomes a darker and more artificially lit place, it may be worth considering a bathroom makeover that will maintain the summer spirit throughout the year. As such, it's always good to follow these tips, accompanying a new bath, such as one of Best Bathrooms freestanding baths, or basin with some simple adjustments to keep the washroom a happy, shiny place.
The beach effect is a tried-and-tested approach to injecting a little bit of life into the bedroom. Plenty of tile designs - whether ceramic or porcelain - reflect the theme, as do rocks, shells, pebbles, and other accessories you can get for free at any beach.
Colour-wise, it's worth choosing more citrus-based shades to really enhance the room. Lime green, canary yellow and orange are the best ones to choose to reflect the feeling of summer and giving you a more cheerful way to wake up. For focal areas in particular, try adopting bolder colours to boost their importance in the overall room.
If paint is not something you want in your bathroom, consider new wallpaper. So long as the facility is both spacious and well ventilated, there should be no problems if you fit it. Just be sure to put it on the walls securely, so that no peeling or bubbling happens, as moisture will get straight in and exacerbate the problem in months, weeks or even days.
Live plants are really good for bathrooms as they thrive in airy and sunny places. The best bit is that you don't need to spray clean them every day, and if you shower often, they don't need watering as often given the steam levels.
Bath mats and rugs are always easy to change up and inject new life into a bathroom, especially as older ones can begin to look rough around the edges. These are all very easy and cheap ways to change a bathroom, though follow your heart over your wallet - you may regret a half-done effort!
