As we begin to welcome fall, summer is not quite behind us yet. A perfect color to transition summer to autumn is orange. Deep shades of brick, medium tones of pumpkin spice, and pastel shades of melon all have a place in our homes from now through the end of November.
For those who like a lot of contrast, shades of orange pop against white.
And lighter shades of orange blend beautifully with deep brown woodtones.
Orange is a perfect accent color for creams and taupes.
Even the kitchen looks beautiful when dressed in this color.
Formal or casual, summer or fall, brick or melon, it all works this time of year. Enjoy!

yum! I love using yellow/golden colors in my home. It makes everything seems so much warmer, which I really need since we don't get much sun in Pittsburgh.

Love these photos, Arleen. I just started bringing out all of my fall stuff and would love to add some more golds and oranges to my family room. Thanks for the inspiration!

You've got an eye for the oranges I like. The oranges of my fall are from football uniforms that are a bit more garish.
