The first day of September truly should mark the first day of autumn. But until the equinox officially turns the seasons, it's interesting to study transitional design. As it does with every season, the color scheme has changed here at Seasons for All at Home, this time to deep, earthy hues of red and orange.
Rooms with brown walls are warm and inviting, and work well with most colors. And lighter shades of brown are equally welcoming, especially when coupled with brick red. Chocolate brown and baby blue is a beautiful combination!

Autumn is nearly here, and it's time to celebrate earth tones!

All those look good. We have BM HC-68 "Middlebury Brown" in our on one wall of our bedroom and bathroom. It wasn't my idea but it turned out great. Shows you what I know. We have some 3 big bright floral photos that really pop on that wall.

I love brown and warm colors. Just saw a TV program about tech advances and they are working on a paint that has something in it that will transform walls into tv screens and you can also set the walls to be any color. Wouldn't that be great? Redecorate with the flick of a switch!

Love the depth of color and glow the brown adds the rooms! Fabulous ideas!
I might just be inspired to run out and get a few gallons of paint!
Have a lovely fall day!

Arleen, I like the way you changed the colors of your blog to match the season! Of course here in the Bay Area it doesn't feel like Autumn is even close, but we'll get there eventually, won't we?! Jane T.
