I love decorating with plates, especially when it comes to hanging a collection of them on a wall. I have several sets of matching or complimentary plates I've acquired through the years, plus a few one-of-a-kind plates that are true treasures. I will be redecorating two rooms in my home this year, and I plan to use a different set of plates in each room.
Since most people associate plates with the kitchen, it's fun to see collections of plates hanging in other rooms as an element of the unexpected. They look beautiful and perfectly at home in any room!
And in some cases, the plates don't need to be hung; just line them up in a row on a fireplace mantle or shelf.
I haven't displayed my decorative plate collections in a few years and I am so looking forward to seeing them again adorn the walls in my home!

I love decorative plates and the photos you chose. I have one displayed among some pictures in my dining room but I would eventually like to do a collection of just plates on a wall. I love the inspiration you always provide.

I, too, love to decorate with plates, they are beautiful and a nice change from square, flat wall art.

I'm a sucker for pretty plates. I can never have enough. I have a box filled with old china in the basement that haven't gotten around to finding places for in my house. This inspires me to dig some of them out and hang them somewhere!

I love decorative plates - and platters - as well. The photos you used are so beautiful and inspiring, thanks for sharing!

I decorate with plates too! I find them at yard sales, thrift stores and sometimes for free! Cheap AND decorative...that's what I like!
