On Thanksgiving weekend every year, my home is converted wholly to the Christmas season. I inherited this tradition from my mother who grew up very poor but could turn a room into a sight to behold with much creativity and very little money. I learned from her that every nook and cranny in one's home is an opportunity for holiday magic.
I love Fitz and Floyd ceramic collections and have several pieces I've collected over the years. Each year, I switch out the Belleek and china that is displayed in my China cabinet year round to Fitz and Floyd. And, unlike the other 11 months of the year when the glass doors remain closed, I keep the doors of the cabinet open throughout the Christmas season.
The very first piece of Fitz and Floyd I purchased was a beautiful Victorian Santa teapot. I remember so well discovering him and thinking he was so stunning. The piece was expensive, but I decided to splurge and I've never regretted it.
Here's a closer look at another shelf. The lady with the balloons is a Royal Doulton piece I gave to my mother years ago. The other canape and salt and pepper shakers are Fitz and Floyd's Winter Spice.
I love how these pieces look displayed together, and feel so fortunate to have such an elegant collection!
And a special hello to Melissa over at The Inspired Room and to everyone who is visiting me by way of Melissa's holiday activities!
Your collection is beautiful! Thank you for sharing it.

How pretty! I like the idea of leaving the cabinets open and hanging the wreaths inside the doors like that for Christmas. :-)
