Is there anything that says "fresh air" more than French doors that open onto a lovely outdoor setting? I think not! I love French doors and have never lived in a home that has had them. Yet.
There are a few homes I visit frequently where a sliding glass door leads from a formal room to the garden. I so want to see French doors in place of those sliders!
No screens accompany French windows that are wide open. Just clean air, a bright day, and, if it's this time of year, the promise of spring.

Oh, those are delightful! I definitely agree that they need to replace sliders wherever possible.
