Decorating at The White House ~ Private Dining Room

I love dining rooms.  Whether they are decorated for a special occasion or simply set for every day, use, there is always something grand about the dining room. 

Just as the White House bedrooms changed through the years, so did the First Family's private dining room.  And while the furniture is timeless, the decor certainly is representative of the era.

I just love looking at these rooms!  Do you have a favorite?

That's fun! I liked seeing how it was all dressed up for the dinner party for Prince Charles. The Clintons really changed it, didn't they? I hate to think that they wallpapered over all those murals. Looks like the paintings had been there a long time. I do like the yellow, though.

I really like the Clinton/yellow dining room. The chandelier is fabulous...I think that may be the same one throughout.

From what I heard the wallpaper was removed and stored. They can do magical things in decorating at the W.House. I believe Jackie O. orogiannly purchased that paper.
